Details

1970-71 was a big year for Eddie Shack. He lasted just eleven games with the Los Angeles Kings to start the season. On November 25, 1970, he was traded, along with Dick Duff, to the Buffalo Sabres. The trade seemed to but a burr in his bonnet and he scored 25 goals in 56 games for Buffalo. Added to the two goals he scored to start the campaign with the Kings, his 27 goals were a career best.
