Details

On June 8, 1965, Earl Ingarfield was traded from the New York Rangers to the Montreal Canadiens with Gord Labossiere, Dave McComb and Noel Price for Cesare Maniago and Garry Peters. The following day, the Rangers got Earl back through the inter-league draft and Ingarfield never ended up playing for the Habs.

Ingarfield would not spend much time in Western Pennsylvania. On January 30, 1969, 40 games into the 1968-69 season, Earl was shipped to the Oakland Seals with Dick Mattiussi and Gene Ubriaco in exchange for Tracy Pratt, George Swarbrick and Bryan Watson. He would finish up his National Hockey League career with the Seals, retiring after the 1970-71 NHL season.

His exploits with the Cleveland Barons in 1959-60 were indeed pretty spectacular. He seemed to play with a vengeance after the Rangers sent him down to the AHL. His offense continued into the Calder Cup playoffs, contributing nine points in seven first round games in the losing cause for the Barons.
