Details

Al MacAdam was one of just three players from the California Golden Seals to play all 80 games in 1974-75. The other two were Stan Weir and Len Frig. MacAdam wasn’t one to miss much action over his NHL career. In the four years he played with the Golden Seals / Cleveland Barons, he didn’t miss a single game.

Al tied for third in team scoring in 1974-75. His 43 points equaled Dave Hrechkosy. The team leaders were Larry Patey and Stan Weir, both with 45 points. In 1975-76, MacAdam would lead the team with 63 points, one more than linemate Dennis Maruk.

As for the bit of trivia, the New York Rangers began play in the NHL for the 1926-27 season. Between then and 1941-42, they would miss the post season just one time. In 1935-36, the Rangers finished in a three way tie for second in the four team American Division. Based on goals scored, they were the odd team out.

Over that 16 year stretch, the team won the Stanley Cup championship three times and reached the final on three other occasions. Starting in 1942-43, New York started an era where they went 13 seasons when they reached the playoffs just twice.
