The front of this 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee 30 Stanley Cup playoff card is an action picture including Derek Sanderson and Gerry Cheevers of the Boston Bruins.
The game was won by the New York Rangers, 5-2. Boston had won the first two games of the series and this put the Rangers back in it. However, the Bruins would ultimately take the championship, winning the final in six games.
Bobby Orr of the Bruins would be given the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the playoffs. He was not left off the score sheet in this game, scoring the second Boston goal.
