Even today, nearly 50 years after the Philadelphia Flyers won back to back Stanley Cup championships in the 1970’s, Rick MacLeish remains fourth all-time in playoff scoring for the team with 105 points in 108 games. Ahead of him are Bobby Clarke, Brian Propp and Bill Barber. His 53 goals ties him with Barber for the most all-time in a Flyers jersey.
In 1973-74, Rick had 13 goals in 17 playoff games as the Broad Street Bullies captured their first title with a win over the Boston Bruins in the final. The following year, he scored eleven in 17 games as Philadelphia won the Stanley Cup again, this time taking out the Buffalo Sabres in the final.
Rick MacLeish played 846 regular season and 114 playoff games in the National Hockey League between 1970-71 and 1983-84 with the Flyers, Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Detroit Red Wings.
