Brad ranks with Boston’s Bobby Orr in style and talent. Injuries have hurt him, he missed 26 games with knee problems last season. Brad has a hard, accurate shot and is a bruising bodychecker. Brad is 1st Ranger defenseman to ever score 20 goals in one year.

Brad Park came back from his injury problems in 1973-74, playing the full 78 game schedule for the New York Rangers. He also had a career year offensively, totaling 82 points on 25 goals and 57 assists. It helped him be the Norris Trophy runner-up for the fourth of six times during his NHL career. He would never win the award.

His previous 20 goal season, mentioned on the back of this 1973-74 O-Pee-Chee hockey card, occurred in 1971-72 when he scored 24. It also marked the third consecutive year he was runner-up for the Norris behind Bobby Orr. Six of his 24 came in two games against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In the second of those two, on February 12, 1972 at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, Park recorded the hat trick and added an assist for a four point game. His first two goals of the game were scored 18 seconds apart in the second period. The second of those two held as the game winner in a 8-3 win over the Penguins. His assist came on a Bruce MacGregor goal and Brad led all skaters with five shots on Pittsburgh goalie Jim Rutherford.

Between 1968-69 and 1984-85, Brad Park played 1,113 regular season and 161 playoff games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. Park was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988.
