Winner of the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s top defensemen for six straight seasons, an all-time record, Bobby is destined to be one of the game’s greatest players. He is tremendously popular with young fans.

Bobby Orr would win the Norris Trophy again in 1973-74 and 1974-75 for a total of eight consecutive wins and a career total of eight. This remains the most by any player in National Hockey League history with Niklas Lidstrom and Doug Harvey both right behind with seven wins.

1973-74 would be another big year for Bobby. Orr scored 32 goals and assisted on 90 for 122 points. His point total was second to only Boston Bruins teammate Phil Esposito who recorded 145 to capture the Art Ross Trophy. Bobby’s 90 assists led the NHL with a 13 assist edge over Esposito.

Along with his eight Norris Trophy wins, Bobby Orr was also the recipient of the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP on three occasions. He was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner in each of Boston’s Stanley Cup championships during his time with the team, 1969-70 and 1971-72. Bobby Orr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979.
