Details

After three years with the Boston Bruins, Bob Woytowich was selected by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft. He was the team’s fifth pick and 26th overall. He was traded from Minnesota to the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 1, 1968 for a future draft pick.

Woytowich played 523 regular season and 24 playoff games in the National Hockey League between 1964-65 and 1971-72 with the Bruins, North Stars, Penguins and Los Angeles Kings. He jumped to the WHA for that league’s inaugural 1972-73 season and put in five years with the Winnipeg Jets and Indianapolis Racers.
