Card Notes

This 1961-62 Parkhurst 44 NHL hockey card featuring Wayne Connelly of the Montreal Canadiens is an uncorrected error. On both the front and back of the card, Wayne’s last name is misspelt Conolly. This is the Wayne Connelly rookie card.

The three games noted on the back of the card are the only three Connelly would play with the Canadiens. He was traded on October 27, 1961 to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Bob Armstrong.

Wayne went on to play 543 regular season National Hockey League games between 1960-61 and 1971-72 with the Habs, Bruins, Minnesota North Stars, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks.

He also played in 366 regular season games in the WHA between 1972-73 and 1976-77. He appeared with the Minnesota Fighting Saints, Cleveland Barons, Calgary Cowboys and Edmonton Oilers.
