Details
Walt Tkaczuk played his entire National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers after coming up through the Kitchener Rangers major junior system. Between 1967-68 and 1980-81, Tkaczuk appeared in 945 regular season and 93 playoff games for the Rangers.
He helped the team to the Stanley Cup final twice. In 1971-72, the Rangers reached the final before losing to the Boston Bruins. In 1978-79, New York was the last team to fall to the Montreal Canadiens during their four year reign over the Stanley Cup.
