The O-Pee-Chee jinx stopped Norm Ullman’s streak of 20 goal seasons at 12. Ullman scored 18 with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1969-70, despite not missing a game. However, he was back on track by 1970-71 and went another four years reaching the 20 goal plateau.

The 35 Norm scored in 1968-69 with the Buds was the second best of his NHL career and placed him in a two-way tie with Red Berenson for seventh in the league. His career best came in 1964-65 when he scored 42 for the Detroit Red Wings. That total led the league with a three goal edge over Bobby Hull. His 83 points were second in the race for Art Ross Trophy, four behind Stan Mikita.

Between 1955-56 and 1974-75, Norm Ullman appeared in 1,410 regular season and 106 playoff games in the National Hockey League with the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
