Norm is an 8 year veteran of the minor pro leagues – and last year starred or Buffalo, scoring 37 goals and 44 assists. A speedy skater and slick stick-handler, Norm had a tryout with St. Louis in 1967.

In company with the likes of Andre Lacroix, Norm Beaudin could never find his success in the NHL but went on to star in the WHA. He appeared in 12 games for the North Stars in 1970-71, the last action he would see in the National Hockey League.
As with a number of 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee hockey cards, the back is missing some stats. True, Beaudin did not play in the NHL in 1969-70. However, he did see previous action in the league. He played 13 games for the Blues in 1967-68. Those 25 games were the extent of his NHL career. Somewhere between St. Louis and Minnesota, Norm was also property of the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers but only on paper.
It was with the Blues that Norm scored his only NHL goal. On October 28, 1967, just the eighth game for the St. Louis franchise, the team was visiting the Montreal Canadiens at the Forum. Beaudin scored his lone NHL goal at 6:48 of the first period on the powerplay against goalie Rogie Vachon, assisted by Fred Hucul and Ron Attwell. The goal tied the game at one after Jean Beliveau opened the scoring in the first minute of the game. The Habs would go on to win the game 4-1.
When the WHA started up in 1972-73, Beaudin made his mark with the Winnipeg Jets. In that inaugural season, he tied Bobby Hull for the team lead with 103 points. The two were behind just Andre Lacroix, Ron Ward and Danny Lawson for the league lead. Tom Webster also finished the campaign with 103 points.
In the post season, Norm contributed at a two points per game pace with 28 over 14 games. The Jets easily handled the Minnesota Fight Saints and Houston Aeros before falling to the New England Whalers in five games in the Avco World Trophy final.
Between 1972-73 and 1975-76, Norm Beaudin played in 309 regular season and 31 playoff games in the World Hockey Association, all with the Winnipeg Jets. He helped the team to a championship in his final season.
