Details

Nick Beverley played his only full season with the Boston Bruins in 1972-73. He scored just one goal, his first of 18 over his NHL career. On January 18, 1973 at the Boston Garden in a 6-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres, Beverley scored on Dave Dryden at 8:35 of the third period, assisted by Don Marcotte and Terry O’Reilly.

After playing a single game to start 1973-74, Nick was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 25, 1973 for Darryl Edestrand. His time in Pittsburgh didn’t last long. He would start the 1974-75 season with the New York Rangers.

With the Oshawa Generals in 1965-66, Beverley, Wayne Cashman and Bobby Orr helped the team to a league championship. The team lost to the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Memorial Cup final. The following year, with Orr off to the Bruins, Beverley and Barry Wilkins took over as the top offensive defenseman on the team. However, the Generals finished dead last, six points behind the Peterborough Petes, the next team up.

Between 1966-67 and 1979-80, Nick Beverley played 502 regular season and seven playoff games in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Minnesota North Stars, Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Rockies.
