Pretty weak effort by O-Pee-Chee on this one. Yes, Gilles Gilbert had an assist in 1973-74. But, he also had one in 1974-75, 1976-77 and 1977-78. He would add five more during the rest of his career, including a three assist outbreak in 1982-83 with the Detroit Red Wings, his final year in the NHL. Gilles Gilbert played in the National Hockey League from 1969-70 to 1982-83 with the Minnesota North Stars, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. The product of the London Knights OHL junior hockey club, Gilles was a third round pick by the North Stars at the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft, 25th overall.
