Card Notes
The “Now With Bruins” note on the front of the card came as Dick Redmond was traded from the Atlanta Flames to the Boston Bruins on September 6, 1978. Going in the other direction was Gregg Sheppard.
Redmond finished out his NHL career in Boston, playing his final games during the 1981-82 season. Prior to his days with the Atlanta Flames, Dick played for the Minnesota North Stars, California Golden Seals, Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.
Dick never played with brother Mickey Redmond during his National Hockey League career. However, the two did get to play together as juniors with the Peterborough Petes in 1966-67. Dick was a rookie at the time and Mickey was finishing out a stellar major junior career.
