Brad had one of his best seasons ever last year, topping all Boston defensemen in scoring. Brad is a four-time first team All-Star choice. Brad made big switch from New York to Boston last year.

Details

After arriving in Boston via a trade with the New York Rangers on November 7, 1975 with Jean Ratelle and Joe Zanussi for Phil Esposito and Carol Vadnais, Brad Park did put up a great offensive performance. In 43 games for the Bruins, Park put up 53 points. In the post season, he contributed eleven points in eleven games.

However, his top offensive season during his NHL career would remain the 1973-74 campaign. That year, Park scored 25 goals and assisted on 57 for 82 points, leading the Rangers in overall scoring. Brad finished in a three way tie with Dennis Hextall and Lowell MacDonald for ninth place in the race for the Art Ross Trophy. He placed seventh in the league for assists.

That year marked the fourth of six times as runner-up for the Norris Trophy. The first four were behind Bobby Orr while the final two were behind Denis Potvin. In 1973-74, Park and Orr were the First Team All-Star defense pair.

There’s a bonus fact on the back of this 1976-77 O-Pee-Chee Brad Park hockey card in the French section. Park was team captain for the Rangers for the 1974-75 NHL season. He took over for Vic Hadfield who was off to Pittsburgh. Phil Esposito took over the role after the big trade.

Between 1968-69 and 1984-85, Brad Park played 1,113 regular season and 161 playoff games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings. Park was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988.
