Details
The stats on the back of this hockey card for the 1978-79 were a season like no other in the NHL for Ron Sedlbauer. His 40 goals were nearly double that of anyone else on the Vancouver Canucks (Don Lever had 23) and placed him tenth overall in the National Hockey League.
This 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee card would be Ron’s last as a Canuck. He played 32 games with Vancouver that year before a trade sent him to the Chicago Blackhawks. On December 21, 1979, he was shipped to the Windy City, in exchange for Dave Logan and Harold Phillipoff.
The following year, he was traded again midseason, this time to the Toronto Maple Leafs. His NHL career would come to an end after that 1980-81 season.
