Card Notes

Strapping, aggressive type of forward who doesn’t score a lot of goals but makes a valued contribution to the Buffalo cause. He was one of the leaders of the Cincinnati Swords team that won the American Hockey League’s playoff championship in 1972-73 and he also led the AHL in penalty minutes during the playoffs that season. Injuries to his knee and foot slowed Rick’s rise to the NHL as he bounced around the AHL, CHL and IHL before making Buffalo.
