Card Notes
The 1967-68 Topps Norm Ullman card mentions that he stands 10th all-time for regular season goals scored. Norm finished his NHL career with 490 goals (adding 47 in the World Hockey Association). Today, Ullman sits 49th overall, recently surpassed by Sydney Crosby.
In 1964-65, Ullman scored 42 goals for the Detroit Red Wings. This total gave him a three goal edge over Bobby Hull for the league lead. Of course, there was no award for the accomplishment with the Rocket Richard Trophy not appearing until the 1998-99 season.
Norm Ullman played 1,410 regular season games in the NHL between 1955-56 and 1974-75 with the Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982.
