In 1969-70, Larry was in the CJHL with the Brockville Braves where he was an All-Star. The following year, he played his only season of major junior hockey with the Kitchener Rangers. He had an outstanding season with 51 points in 61 games. The Montreal Canadiens selected him in the second round of the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft, 20th overall.
For the 1975-76 NHL season, Larry’s offensive numbers dropped considerably to just 40 points. However, the following season, he put up career highs and was honoured with his first of two Norris Trophy wins.
Between 1972-73 and 1991-92, Larry Robinson appeared in 1,384 regular season and 227 playoff games in the National Hockey League with the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings.
