Details
A bit of an iron-man, Glen Skov missed just four out of 630 games between the start of 1951-52 and the end of 1959-60.
The seven goals in 19 games during the 1950-51 season include a goal and assist in the final game of the regular season for the Detroit Red Wings. Along with a fight with Bud MacPherson of the Montreal Canadiens that night, Skov put up a Gordie Howe Hat Trick with that same Gordie Howe sitting down the bench from him. More details on that night here: Glen Skov Gordie Howe Hat Trick.
Between 1949-50 and 1960-61, Glen appeared in 650 regular season and 50 playoff games in the National Hockey League with the Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens. He was part of three Stanley Cup championship teams with Detroit.
