Trivia Snippet
The Three-S Line, or simly the S-Line, consisted of Nels Stewart, Babe Siebert and Hooley Smith. The line starred with the Montreal Maroons in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
Hooley Smith played 715 regular season games in the NHL between 1924-25 and 1940-41 with the Ottawa Senators, Montreal Maroons, Boston Bruins and New York Americans. Smith would join Stewart and Siebert in the afterlife, passing away in 1963.
All three members of the S-Line were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame posthumously. Nels Stewart was first in 1962, Babe Siebert followed in 1964 and Smith was inducted in 1972.
