Don Kozak never played a regular season National Hockey League game with the Hartford Whalers. Don was claimed in the 1979 NHL Expansion Draft from the Vancouver Canucks but toiled in Hartford’s minor league system for two years before trying his hand at hockey in Germany.
Kozak had a regular spot with the Los Angeles Kings from 1972-73 to 1977-78 but his career dwindled and he was traded to the Canucks for Randy Holt. Don was a standout in junior hockey with the Swift Current Broncos and Edmonton Oil Kings.
