Card Notes
Rated by some the best player of all time, he was the big punch of the original Rangers.
Bill Cook certainly was the ‘big punch’ of the original New York Rangers. The first player signed by the expansion Rangers for their inaugural 1926-27 NHL season. Bill served as the first ever team captain for the team.
Cook scored New York’s first goal and led the NHL in scoring in that first year with 33 goals and 37 points. He also led the league in goal scoring in 1931-32 and 1932-33. He twice helped New York to Stanley Cup championships.
